AGO offers rare glimpse of life inside a Second World War Jewish ghetto through unearthed collection of photographs
Opening in Toronto on Jan. 31, 2015, at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) Memory Unearthed: The Lodz Ghetto Photographs of Henryk Ross will display over 200 of these incredible images, including original prints in addition to prints from surviving negatives, contact sheets and film projections
Aimia | AGO Photography Prize Announces 2014 WinnerPress Release
The 2014 Aimia | AGO Photography Prize has been awarded to Lisa Oppenheim of the U.S., it was announced at a special reception held at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) this evening. Oppenheim, who is based in New York, was selected by public vote to receive the $50,000 CAD prize in addition to a six-week, fully funded residency in Canada in early 2015.
