Aimia | AGO Photography Prize Announces 2014 Long List

Today the Aimia | AGO Photography Prize, Canada’s leading contemporary photography award, announced its most diverse long list to date, as submitted by a group of international nominators.

Aimia | AGO Photography Prize announces 2014 jury

The Aimia | AGO Photography Prize is pleased to announce the jury of experts who will award Canada’s largest photography prize this year. Sophie Hackett, associate curator of photography at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), will lead the 2014 Prize panel which will include luminaries Laurie Simmons, a New York photography and film-based artist, and Okwui Enwezor, director of Munich’s renowned Haus der Kunst.

Inaugural Aimia | AGO Photography Prize Scholarship Program winners announced

has announced the winners of the inaugural Aimia | AGO Photography Scholarship Program. Valued at more than $20,000 CDN, the scholarship program is intended for full-time students — Canadian or international — who are entering their final year of study toward a bachelor’s degree of fine arts in photography at one of eight participating post-secondary institutions.
