Advanced Drawing and Painting the Figure
Wednesday, April 2 – Wednesday, June 4, 7 – 10 pm (10 weeks)
Members $450 | Public $530
Working figuratively to explore narrative themes, this course will explore painting and drawing techniques as a form of story-telling. Students will learn correct proportions, with half of the classes reserved for work with professional models. Students will work toward developing a personal narrative that will be composed and revealed through the layering of paint and subject matter. Student work will also be supported by direct observation and group discussion of examples from the AGO’s collections and exhibitions.
Students are responsible for the purchase of their own materials. A material list will be provided on the first day of class.
