Our fun-filled birthday parties are offered on Saturdays (and Sundays by request - dependent upon studio availability). Please inquire.
Starting this fall, we now offer four ALL NEW!! birthday parties in addidtion to our "Art-i-tecture" party!
We offer two time options:
11:00 am to 1:30 pm
2:00 to 4:30 pm

Art-i-tecture
Celebrate the amazing architecture of the AGO! Do you ever wonder why buildings look the way they do, what architects do, how an art gallery is constructed and what materials are used, and how architects and artists define “space”? This party is designed to give hands-on experience and understanding of the (art) of architecture. Activities and projects include fun block building, exploring the amazing shapes of the AGO building like the scissor staircase, thinking about how buildings tell stories and designing and creating a cool 3-D, Gehry-like sculpture!
Animal Antics
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an animal? If you were an animal, what one would you be? We're going on an adventure as we search for animals in the AGO- they are everywhere! There’s a special animal art making activity that will make you howl.
Mask-erade!
It’s a masquerade themed party! Join us for some merry-making and revelry as we explore the fantastic art of mask-making. Hide or reveal the inner you, change your identity. Masks have magic powers. Our African and Inuit collections inspire. Maybe you’re an animal, maybe a superhero, a little imagination is all it takes to reveal someone new in your place!
Birthday Banquet
We’re going to create everything you would want for a birthday banquet-but in an art-ful way!Decorate the room and YOU! Birthday art-making activities might include making miniature food, placemats, wacky hats, hand-made streamers, sound-makers and of course party games and more! Everything you need to “create” the ultimate art party at the AGO. The birthday guests have a blast making it- and it’s customized just for you!
Ship Model Detectives
You and your birthday friends are on a mission. The gallery is your spy zone as you hunt down clues and uncover mysteries of the riddle of the lost treasure and the ship models. What was lost? Who were the prisoners? What was their secret? How are chicken bones involved?
Join us in your private secret agent headquarters with your notebook and magnifying glass in hand to start your mission. Create your own secret messages, spy badge and spy disguises to wear and take home. Who knows what we’ll find-it’s sneaky good fun.
