Booking School Programs

To book a program:

  • Call 416 979 6608 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 am – 5 pm, Wednesday from 9 am – 7:30 pm, and Saturday from 10 am – 3 pm

PROGRAM FEES (including HST) for 2011-2012

Do-It-Yourself Gallery Visit (Half or full day) $10 per student
Guided Gallery Visit (Half day) $12.50 per student
Customized Guided Gallery Visit (Half day) $14.75 per student
Studio Visit (Half day) $14.75 per student
From A to ZINE: Full Day Studio Visit (Grades 9 to 12) $19.25 per student
Full Day: Any combination of two (2) half day visits $19.25 per student

TRAVEL SUBSIDY

BOOKING GUIDELINES

Bookings must be made at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of a Guided Gallery Visit or Studio Visit and at least two (2) days prior to the date of a Do-It-Yourself Gallery Visit. Minimum group size is 15 students. Groups with fewer than 15 students will be charged the minimum group size. There is no charge for the required number of adult supervisors (see GROUP SUPERVISION for details). Additional adults will be charged the student rate.

BOOKING INFORMATION REQUIRED

When you call to book your visit, please be prepared with the following information:

  • Preferred date and time of visit
  • Number of students and chaperones and all grade level(s)
  • Program selection and length of visit (full or half day)
  • Lunch requirements for the group (if applicable)
  • Any special needs and/or accessibility requirements

METHOD OF PAYMENT

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due at the time of Guided Gallery Visit and Studio Visit bookings. No deposit is required for Do-It-Yourself Gallery Visit bookings. The balance is due the day of your visit. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, cash or cheque (payable to Art Gallery of Ontario).

CANCELLATIONS

If a cancellation is received less than two (2) weeks prior to a Guided Gallery Visit or Studio Visit, the $150 deposit will be withheld. Do-It-Yourself Gallery Visits may be subject to administrative cancellation fees. Schools will not be charged for cancelling a reservation due to inclement weather and buses are cancelled as a result.

GROUP SUPERVISION

For safety and security, a minimum number of adult supervisors is required to accompany each school group. Groups arriving without the required adult supervisor–to–student ratio may be denied entry. Teachers and adult supervisors are required to stay with their groups for the duration of their visit. Appropriate student behaviour is the sole responsibility of teachers and adult supervisors.

Adult Supervisor–to–Student Ratio

JK to Grade 3 – 1:5 students
Grades 4 to 6 – 1:8 students
Grades 7 to 8 – 1:10 students
Grades 9 to 12 – 1:15 students
