Please ensure you have read the following School Group Visit Guidelines below.
Bookings must be made at least fourteen (14) business days prior to the date of a Guided Gallery Visit or Artmaking Workshop Visit and at least two (2) business days prior to the date of a Self-guided (Do-It-Yourself) Gallery Visit. Minimum group size is 15 students. Groups with fewer than 15 students will be charged the minimum group size. There is no charge for the required number of adult supervisors (see GROUP SUPERVISION for details). Additional adults will be charged the student rate. Membership and other discounts do not apply to school group admission.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due at the time of Special Exhibition Guided/Self-guided, AGO Collection Guided Gallery Visit and/or Artmaking Workshop bookings. No deposit is required for self-guided (Do-It-Yourself) Gallery Visit bookings. The balance is due the day of your visit. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, debit, cash or school/company cheque (payable to Art Gallery of Ontario).
Notice of Cancellation must be in writing and received at the AGO by either fax or email email@example.com no later than ten (10) business days prior to visit date. If a cancellation is received less than ten (10) business days weeks prior to a Special Exhibition Guided/Self-guided, AGO Collection Guided Gallery Visit and/or Artmaking Workshop Visit, the $150 deposit will be withheld. Self-guided (Do-It-Yourself )Gallery Visits may be subject to administrative cancellation fees. Schools will not be charged for cancelling a reservation due to inclement weather and buses are cancelled as a result.
Within 10 business days prior to the day of your visit, the number of students may only be altered by plus or minus 10% of the original number booked. For example if your booking was for 40 students and only 20 students attend you will be charge for 36 (40-4) students.
On the day of visit, please ensure your entire group is present at the AGO and your group leader checks in with our Weston Family Learning Centre Ticket Desk 15 minutes prior to the start of your program. Programming starts promptly at the time chosen and we will not be able to extend program times.
For safety and security, a minimum number of adult supervisors is required to accompany each school group. Groups arriving without the required adult supervisor-to-student ratio may be denied entry.Teachers and adult supervisors are required to stay with their groups for the duration of their visit. Appropriate student behaviour is the sole responsibility of teachers and adult supervisors.
