In a workshop suited for painters and non-painters alike, students will explore colour theory through paint, discussion, gallery visits, and the use of coloured objects. Improve your colour appreciation and ways of seeing, resulting in practical skills that can be applied in painting and easily transferred to all other mediums. Students will explore the AGO collections to see ideas and principles behind colour harmony; where our eyes are guided, how mood is shifted and manipulated, cultural and political subtexts and the sheer joy of colour.
Students are responsible for the purchase of their own materials. A material list will be provided on the first day of class.
