The AGO’s offerings for adults include a series of courses and workshops in the Gallery and in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School – a combination of lecture,discussion, tour studio programs that allow adults to engage with art.

Drop-In: Yoga in the AGO Galleries(Spring 2012)

Experience the AGO like never before! Working with an experienced instructor in an environment that is inclusive, students will develop their yoga skills amongst the Gallery's collections while the AGO is closed to the general public.

Drop-in: Life Drawing in the AGO Galleries (Spring 2012)

Develop your life-drawing skills, while working with a life model directly in the AGO ’s stunning Walker Court.

Screen-Printing Workshops with Artists from Magic Pony Gallery and Narwal Projects

In these 4-lesson workshops orkiwith artists from Toronto galleries Magic Pony and Narwal Projects, students will learn basic screen-printing techniques and have fun experimenting with colour and ink.

Advanced Painting (Summer 2012)

This hands-on intensive course is intended for students at a more advanced level of study. Drawing from the vast painting collections within the AGO , students will begin by looking at the work of specific artists as inspiration for experimentation.

Figurative Painting (Summer 2012)

Explore depictions of the human figure in the AGO collections, while also developing your own painting skills in acrylic or oil.

Painting Workshop: Experimenting with Colour

In the course students will explore the works in the AGO’s painting collections as a platform from which to develop their own skills in using colour.

Introduction to Painting (Summer 2012)

This foundation-level course will draw upon the AGO’s painting collections as a platform for teaching methods and techniques.

Introduction to Sculpture (Summer 2012)

Learn about the various concepts and processes of traditional and contemporary sculptural practice.

Urban Landscape Photography (Summer 2012)

Students learn the basics of urban landscape photography while focusing on experimentation and composition.

Workshop: Introduction to Creative Photography (Summer 2012)

This course will introduce students to the possibilities of creative photography with artist Janieta Eyre.

Life Drawing (Summer 2012)

Working with life models, students will explore the technical and perceptual skills needed to confidently produce drawings.

The Art of Drawing (Summer 2012)

Using originals in the AGO collections as starting points, students embark on a journey through drawing.
