Discover cross-curricular connections between art and language at the AGO! Integrate the visual arts with the Language and English curriculums to bring both words and images alive.
- Build your students’ visual literacy through student-centred discussions using the critical analysis process and interpretation activities.
- Learn interactive activities you can use in the gallery and in your classroom to encourage creative writing such as poetry and narrative development.
- Explore the connections between art, writing and literature and learn how your students can respond creatively to literature.
- Discover works of art and artists that you can use to demonstrate how a diversity of cultures communicates stories through art.
$40 + HST for in-service teachers
$35 + HST for pre-service teachers
Registration is limited to 30 participants per workshop. Additional workshops can be scheduled if needed.
A minimum number of participants is required for programs to proceed.
