Intermediate Drawing: The Hand of the Master

This  five week drawing exploration takes place in the AGO's Marvin Gelber Print & Drawing Study Centre. Through a theme-based approach, students will have the opportunity to develop further intimacy with the Print and Drawing Study Centre and explore the spectacular collection of works on paper while improving their drawings skills and learning about specific artists and printmaking and drawing techniques. Each week, works on paper will be selected from the vault according to themes: Flora & Fauna; Canadiana & Inuit; Portraits & Nudes; Social Commentary; Landscape and Architecture.

Students are asked to bring the following supplies: A 11X14" coil-bound sketchbook, a set of soft pencils (B through 9B, or one each of 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B), a knead-able eraser and a white vinyl eraser, a set of 24 watercolour pencils, a self-contained pencil sharpener.
