Introduction to Screen Printing Techniques with Artists from Magic Pony and Narwhal Projects (Fall)

Mondays November 19 – December 10, 7pm – 10pm (4 weeks)
Members: $180| Public $205 (Price includes the cost of most materials for this course.)

If you have ever wanted to try screen-printing, but don't know where to begin, why not attend a workshop at the Art Gallery of Ontario this fall? The AGO is hosting a series of 4 week-long screen-printing workshops taught by two artists from Magic Pony and Narwhal Art Projects. Participants will learn about different screen-printing techniques, like creating multi-layer prints, mixing inks, and making gradients on a single layer, which is called a split fountain blend. Screen-printing is a very physical, but rewarding process of printing, in which you essentially push inks through stencils on wire mesh. It is a versatile medium that can be applied to any surface. Students are encouraged to bring extra paper, t-shirts, bags, and other materials they would like to print on.
