Krieghoff: Images of Canada is the first full-scale retrospective of the work of Canadian painter Cornelius Krieghoff (1815-1872). The exhibition features more than 150 remarkable works, including oil paintings and prints that beautifully reflect C anadian family life and landscapes during the mid-19th century. From crisp winter scenes to lush fallscapes, Krieghoff''s use of colour and imagery provide a visual commentary that has contributed to the definition of Canadian national identity. Supported by the Museum Assistance Program of the Department of Canadian Heritage.
