Everything starts with drawing. Drawing is all about looking, making a mark and learning how to refine that mark to express emotion and re-create a reality or feeling.
Learning to Draw is a course in which students are introduced to the fundamentals of drawing, through projects that are contemporary, engaging and fun. This course will focus on building skills and creative exploration, with techniques and concepts introduced through innovative projects. Students explore concepts such as line and contour, positive and negative and space, perspective and proportion, light and shadow, shading, grey scale and tone, texture, gesture and more, experimenting with an exciting variety of artist's tools, media and contemporary techniques, as well as using experimental materials for expressive and imaginative mark-making.
