Instructor: Kerry Kim
Members $395 | Public $460

Discover poetry of the human form through observation and drawing. This course focuses on an intuitive approach to life drawing through integration of perceptual and technical skills. Recognize bone, gesture, muscle, and skin.

Professional life models will utilize a variety of poses. Traditional and contemporary concepts of chiaroscuro, contour, and direction will be studied to explore movement and structure of the human form. Through a combination of guided drawing practices, students will learn to draw with confidence, culminating in the principals of composition and design.

In-class demonstrations and regular visits to the galleries are integral parts of the course.

Students are responsible for the purchase of their own materials. A material list will be provided on the first day of class.
