The artists will appear in conversation with nominators Jennifer Blessing, Senior Curator of Photography at the Guggenheim Museum, New York, and Helga Pakasaar, Curator at Presentation House Gallery, Vancouver.
The discussion will be divided in two parts, with panels moderated by Elizabeth Smith, 2013 Lead Juror and former Executive Director, Curatorial Affairs at the AGO, and Sophie Hackett, Associate Curator, Photography at the AGO.

Moderated by lead juror Elizabeth Smith, Executive Director of the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, and featuring the shortlisted artists Edgardo Aragon, LaToya Ruby Frazier and nominator Jennifer Blessing, Senior Curator, Photography at the Guggenheim Museum. This discussion will examine the ways that contemporary photographers reinvigorate the conventions of landscape, portraiture, and social documentary photography to examine the challenging social and political realities of their homelands.
