The collection of prints and drawings includes over 15,000 works dating from the 13th to the 21st centuries, with strengths in European, British and Canadian art. The collection is housed in the Marvin Gelber Print and Drawing Study Centre, a state-of-the-art facility where visitors can enjoy a wide range of programs and see works on paper by artists such as Durer, Rembrandt, Picasso, David Milne and Kenojouak.
The prints and drawings collection has been enhanced by a significant acquisition of Rembrandt etchings and a large collection of humorous, satirical and illustrative graphic artworks. This collection is one of the fastest growing collections at the AGO. Each year, the Gallery acquires new works on paper through purchase and donation.
