We invite visitors of all ages to join us for a Sunday concert at the AGO for an exploration of music from the first decade of the 20th century.
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) and the Art Gallery of Ontario team up for the TSO’s 2015-16 concert season to present The Decades Project (1900-1909). The collaboration pairs visual artwork with a musical composition from 1900 - 09. This pairing will be featured in an exhibit to open at the AGO on September 8th and in on stage discussions after concerts to be performed at Roy Thomson Hall by the TSO on October 21 & 24.
Comprised of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s principal musicians, The TSO Chamber Soloists perform concerts of chamber music, which, this season, complement the orchestral programmes of The Decades Project (1900-1909). Curated and hosted by TSO Concertmaster Jonathan Crow, these performances feature striking works by notable composers of the early 20th century.
