Selected Works Past and Present

Toronto artist Tom Dean will be representing Canada at this year's Venice Biennale (June 13 to November 7, 1999). In celebration of this honour, the AGO has organized an exhibition that features new works by Dean alongside some of his classics. Highlights include Excerpts from a Description of the Universe (1987), The Varieties of Hell (1989), and a 1981 sound work, Affected Thunder, which can be heard from the AGO tower every day at noon for 10 seconds.
