Whistler: Selected Impressions

June 19 to October 4, 2004

James McNeill Whistler had a radical and pervasive influence on the course of nineteenth century printmaking, and is rightly considered the greatest etcher since Rembrandt. The Art Gallery of Ontario has a special collection of Whistler prints. This installation features some of Whister's etched views along the Thames, the Seine and the Venetian lagoon.
