Ultraviolet photography can help us to see things we wouldn't normally see. Areas of the sculpture that have been broken or patched will fluoresce a different colour from the rest of the original material. By looking at these photos of the sculpture taken with ultraviolet light, can you tell that the head was broken at the neck and reattached, and that the arm was also reconnected? Where else do you think areas of the sculpture may have received treatment (hint: remember to look for colour differences!).
