Dining at the AGO

AGO restaurant and café facilities are currently under renovation. During the renovation we have partnered with several neighborhood restaurants offering discounts to our members.
The new restaurant:
- The new restaurant, scheduled to open in fall 2008 will occupy a new street front location at the southeast corner of the Transformed AGO. Open for lunch, brunch and dinner, the new restaurant will be adjacent to a free contemporary gallery, connected to the concourse level café, retail shops and Jackman Hall Theatre.
- A new casual - chic concept featuring Frank Gehry-designed interior space and iconic Canadian art, will incorporate modern Danish furnishings combined with original Gehry designs.
- “Contemporary Comfort Cuisine” designed by Executive Chef Anne Yarymowich will feature seasonal and local fare. Dedicated to global concepts of sustainable farming, slow food, organic and wild product, the culinary team will strive to showcase Canadian product, particularly from Niagara, Southern Ontario and Quebec.
- Stay tuned for a new name, a new concept and an extraordinary new dining experience.
The new café:
- The new café, scheduled to open fall 2008, offers visitors to the Gallery rest and refreshment in a relaxed and congenial environment.
- The Gehry-designed space is located on the concourse level directly below the restaurant. The self serve café can be accessed from the restaurant or from the concourse level.
- The culinary team led by executive chef Anne Yarymowich will design real food with real ingredients at accessible prices. Local seasonal fair, with quality natural ingredients in ecco friendly packages will satisfy families and visitors looking for a quick and affordable dining alternative.
